Who's the fairest of them all? I woke up this morning feeling pretty discouraged about myself. Women are the worst about comparing themselves to other women. I'm sure some of you have spent thousands of dollars on face lifts, butt lifts, botox, etc. Which leaves the normal every day woman. like me, to deal with reality! I've practiced my duck face in front of the mirror only to find out I need injections in my lips. I've sucked in my gut just to get into my SPANKS, hoping the fat will reach my boobs so I can mark that surgery off my wish list. This is ridiculous! I'm a 65 year old women trying to look 30. It ain't gonna happen, y'all!

So...after I got up this morning feeling sorry for my self, I remembered a poem I had written several years ago. Here it is.
I woke up this morning
Thought I'd see a brand new me;
But when I looked into the mirror
It wasn't what I wanted to see!
Last night I didn't eat
So I could see the scales go down;
And the cream I put on my face
Didn't phase my natural frown.
So I threw my shoulders back
Held my stomach in so tight;
Took another look at me
And I said, "Girl!!! You're lookin' fine!
