A Time To Be Thankful

Give thanks to the LORD; for He is good! His mercy endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34

One year ago my daughter was diagnosed with cancer. This year we are giving thanks for all the ways God had His hand on her and us. There were times when we recognized a miracle immediately. There were other times when we could not see. Those times were just as miraculous as the other. Because in those times we were depending on God for everything. And then......later, when we were looking back at the mountain that we’d just climbed.....there was the proof that God was in control of it all....thus, the miracle in full view!

There are so many things to be thankful for.

The air I breath. The flowers and the trees.

The many ways I see God in the sunset

and the sunrise. The song in my heart that reminds me of who I am. The love of God that overwhelms me. His mercy over me when I didn’t deserve it!

These are the things we all have in common. Things that have more value than anything this world has to offer. So....when you feel like you don’t have anything to be thankful for.....give thanks to the LORD for He is good. His mercy endures forever. Just Sayin!
