Don't you just love hanging out with your best friends? It's amazing how a group of women can get together, whether they know each other or not, and there's an instant connection. We have so much in common.

We can laugh about nothing and then cry in a heartbeat! We can strike up a conversation just by saying, "I love your shoes!" We can make jokes about getting older and immediately there is someone laughing with us. We connect!
I used to work at a women's retail shop, which was awesome because I loved their clothes! I also loved to shop.....still do! So, helping other women pick out clothes was as much fun as shopping for myself. I realized from this experience that most women are all the same. We all have issues that we are self-conscious about.
One thing about having a best friend, though, is you can be yourself. You don't have to hold your stomach in. You don't have to watch what you say. You can eat what you want without being criticized. You can be grumpy and she doesn't care. You can be sad and she cries with you.

There are so many benefits to having a best friend. She will tell you the truth even if it hurts, laugh when you walk in the room wearing the same outfit or tell you when you have lipstick on your teeth! Now that's a true friend! Also, a best friend will......(listen to this!!!).......give you the perfect gift every time!!! Oh Mylanta!!!
Let's face it, being a woman comes with a lot of great and wonderful things, but it also comes with a lot of insecurities, fears, frustrations and regrets. And sometimes we just don't feel appreciated. Sometimes what we do.....doesn't always get noticed.
So when you need a friend call your best one! "The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. Never abandon a friend.'' Proverbs 27:9-10
But, if you don't have a long list of friends, you can always talk to Jesus. Day or night He's waiting for you to call. He loves you more than any "best friend!" John 15:13 says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Did you know that is exactly what Jesus did for us? HE will never abandon you!
